Wow. Didn't realize Wilson is a class B. They have fallen a long way, just to move up a notch. Although C is pretty competitive, so maybe they r better off being a B. They have some nice players, however, particularly senior Matt Baker. I hope they play hard and maybe can get on a little run in the sectionals. Good Luck Lakeman!

Yea well I guess I don't go to a hundred games each season, but thanks for the correction. Now I know how Mcshea feels when u guys point out his small mistakes among his hundreds of CORRECT facts. He's a hard working guy, and so am i, respect that.

What's with all the sensitivity?
The whole point of your comment was about Wilson finally moving up to B, so I figured you'd like to know it wasn't a recent development.

I'm just bustin your balls man. One of the things I think that makes this blog strong is all the fact checking that goes on, whether its you, MIG, or one of the other posters. It's better to be corrected on something right away, than go on all year saying something wrong thinking you're right. Right Roger? Ha! just kidding buddy. Btw, since I got ur ear, do you give Wilson any chance at Medina tomorrow. Thanks

Medina definitely has the edge in talent, but there isn't a better coach in the N-O than Brett Sippel. Wilson definitely has a chance, just on the merrit of how hard they'll play.
Posted by: centercourt | Monday, February 18, 2013 at 07:39 PM
since Medina won both games by someting like 14 according to maxpreps, I install Medina as a 9 pt favorite, taking into account your analysis of the coaching. Medina 53-44. But i am rooting for the Lakeman:)

CC - I think East will win the B-2 bracket as well but I've been wary of East ever since they lost to Cheektowaga in what is probably the absolute BIGGEST UPSET EVER in WNY sectional history. I actually think you and I were at Williamsville South watching the Billies take on Riverside, when I told you that East lost, I don't think you believed me (before the age of Twitter really took off, no #preptalkscores).
Still scratching my head over that upset. That East team had State Final 4 talent IMO.

I remember that well. You're correct - I did not believe you. I kept asking if you were positive.
South beat Riverside that night and went on to lose the Class A1 final to McKinley (then soph Joe Licata was out with mono) in one of the all-time great Buff State games with Habeeb & Coppola. Good memories.

Ray, people will come, Ray. They'll come to Iowa for reasons they can't fathom. They'll turn up your driveway, not knowing for sure why they are doing it. They'll arrive at your door as innocent as children, longing for the past. "Of course, we won't mind if you look around", you'll say. "It's only twenty dollars per person." They'll pass over the money without even thinking about it: for it's money they have and peace they lack.
And they'll walk to the bleachers, and sit in shirt-sleeves on a perfect afternoon. They'll find they have reserved seats somewhere along one of the baselines, where they sat when they were children and cheered their heroes. And they'll watch the game, and it'll be as they dipped themselves in magic waters. The memories will be so thick, they'll have to brush them away from their faces.
The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It's been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt, and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game, is part of our past, Ray. It reminds us all of that once was good, and it could be again. Ohhhhhhhh, people will come, Ray. People will most definitely come.

you cant turn the ball over 30 + times and expect to win...even so 6 point loss stings im sure...they are better than the record show of bennet but i didnt recognize the team in white CC..i was beside myself and there were many factors...passer across the paint...my gramma could pick them off.....bounce passing to the low post with neither post men have the strength to even hold onto the ball and getting rejected ...it was a disgrace...a game they should have put away in the first have they gave away as though....idk...still SMHpassing up 3 point shots to throw to low post and taken away and to the other end then with game on line play zone when you know the kid can knock down 3pt from well beyond the arc....up by 2 and 3 straight chances to add 6 -9 points came away with zero....discusted and a terrible way for the seniors to close out their careers with what looked like a game plan ive never seen.....TURNOVERS...AT THIS TIME OF YEAR...INEXCUSABLE AND UNPREPARED.
